The Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) chief executive officer Motshodi Raborokgwe said yesterday that the corporation might retrench an unspecified number of employees in Lobatse and Francistown abattoirs as part of a restructuring programme.

In Lobatse, Raborokgwe said employees who have been staying in the company houses had been given up to December 31 to move out. The employees were initially given a July 31 deadline but they requested an extension to alleviate the disruption of their children's education.
