The UK's oldest distance learning programme has acquired a new content management system to manage its re-launched e-learning website. Rhythymx ECM will manage the University of London External Programme of more than 100 diplomas.
The External Programme provides distance learning to 34,000 students in 180 countries, with 3,500 students accessing their courses online. Peter Marsden, database development manager at the University of London, said: "The External Programme is designed to make University of London degrees accessible to students who, for one reason or another, cannot attend the university to study."
