Conservatives--along with some liberals, such as those at the NAACP--have reacted ferociously to the Supreme Court's decision in Kelo v. New London. Logan Darrow Clements, for one, wants sweet revenge. He's proposing to seize Justice David H. Souter's home in New Hampshire, and replace it with the Lost Liberty Hotel. His reasoning is the same as Souter's in Kelo: The hotel will generate more tax revenue for Weare than the paltry $3,000 Souter currently pays in property taxes each year.
