Jack Rouse to shape Restless Planet Dubai: Jack Rouse Associates of Cincinnati, US, has been appointed to manage the design-and-build contract for Restless Planet dinosaur theme park at City of Arabia in Dubai, which is being developed by Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group (IMGG)
The 500,000 sq ft park, part of the Dh7.2 billion ($1.96 billion) City of Arabia will contain lifelike dinosaurs and exhibits of real fossil discoveries
The City of Arabia project, occupying a site measuring 20 million sq ft at Dubailand, will feature what is claimed to be the world's largest shopping complex, Mall of Arabia; apartments for more than 35,000 residents and office workers; and a waterway lined with shops, cafes and restaurants in a development called Wadi Walk
Construction of the residential buildings will start in the summer
Three hotels are also in the planning stage at City of Arabia. They are a 400-room, five-star property to be built at the entrance to Mall of Arabia; a boutique hotel on an island in the canal; and a property likely to be in a 45-storey tower near Emirates Road
