Construction work is set to begin this month on a new steel coil centre being set up by Sumitomo Corporation in Dubai, UAE. The facility is scheduled to start operating by the end of 2005. Demand for steel is on the rise in the Middle East, for use in building construction and electrical appliances, which Sumitomo estimates to be around 550,000 tonnes per year
