Hassan Abul Company completed the installation of a total of 32 kitchens - fitted with electrical appliances - kitchen units that were manufactured at its own woodworks factory at the prestigious Dar Al Awadi project last month

These units were among an array of products that this diversified Kuwaiti trading and manufacturing firm supplied to the landmark development. "Besides kitchens, we supplied an extensive range of ceramic tiles, sanitary ware and accessories and marble for the project," says Mohammed Boushehri, manager, projects

Earlier this year, the company completed the order to supply a variety of marble tiles - 8,125 sq m in total - used for the internal flooring in the building. The marble - imported from Italy (Botticino Classico, Ross Rubino, Nero Impala and Statuario white), Spain (Maroon Imperial) and Pakistan (Indus Gold) - was processed at its marble factory in Kuwait, The ceramic tiles and sanitary ware were supplied by the company's trading division included an assortment of floor, wall and skirting tiles from leading international manufacturers including Villeroy & Boch of Germany, H&R Johnson of the UK provided for the tower, mall and service areas of the project. Sanitary ware came from Villeroy & Boch while fittings were from Geberit (Switzerland) and Blanco, Kistenmacher, Hansgrohe and Dal Grohe (Germany)

Hassan Abul Company was established in 1959 as a small showroom in the Al-Sief Street in Kuwait City. Since its inception, it has grown considerably and today the company's business is divided under two divisions -the trading operation which offers sanitary ware, toilet accessories, ceramic tiles, glass blocks, and kitchens appliances and the second division, which deals in high-end products and also includes marble, aluminium, wood, ceramic and coatings factories. "Having established a niche in the market as a specialist supplier of a range of internal building materials that include ceramic, marble, kitchen accessories and sanitary ware, the company diversified into external building materials with the introduction of aluminium, wood, glass, and coating products last year," Boushehri says

The firm, which has been working towards achieving greater customer satisfaction through improving the quality of its products and services, sources its materials from around the world - but primarily from the European markets. "The raw materials used in the aluminum factory are sourced from Germany and similarly the materials used in the wood factory come from Italy," he adds. Today, Hassan Abul Company boasts a 1,500-employee-strong workforce that helps achieve an average annual turnover of $75 million. Over the decades, the firm has increased its presence in Kuwait through the establishment of five additional outlets situated at Hawalli (main showroom); Al Shuwaikh (two showrooms); Al Rai (showroom at Ghazali Street) and a new special high-end product showroom at Al Rai, which is under construction, Boushehri says.
