Staub, Struckman stand out at 'Starry, Starry Night Prom'.(FLORIDA WEST & TRAVEL)(Column)

Scene stealers at the "Starry, Starry Night Prom" were County Commish Shannon Staub in her blue strapless dress and tiara and sweetheart Rob Struckman -- a '50s standout in metallic silver.

The whole evening was fun, despite a deluge of rain that stalled cars as they pulled into the Bari Brooks Teen Center at the Y. Femmes removed high-heel spikes before dashing to the door and hiked floor-length taffeta and chiffon thigh-high to escape sloshing through the rest of the evening.

Most of the promgoers thought that the storm would keep everybody else from attending, so everyone was there, including this year's royalty: Prom King Ken Perry and School Board member Laura Benson, as well as committee faithful CJ Allen, Andrea and Kate …
