IT never stopped Leonardo DiCaprio becoming a huge star and now it seems that young actress Stephanie Leonidas has overcome the burden of a complicated looking surname.
But unlike Leo, the 21-year-old was never told it might be a good idea to change her name.
ONot until today, anyway,O she laughs. OMy brother, whoOs also an actor, had to change his name from Demetrius to Shane because it was a very Greek name, but that was his first name.
OMy nameOs been OK so far but obviously if I had to change it I would. ItOs kind of an interesting name, I guess, in a weird way.O
The Leonidas surname has in fact proved to be something of a lucky charm in the acting world for Stephanie and two of her three siblings. As well as StephanieOs continued success, Shane was in Grange Hill for three years and has also appeared in The Bill and Casualty, while sister Georgina appeared in The Basil Brush Show.
