A MAN who threatened to blow a 12-year-old girlOs brains out during an armed robbery at her Co Tyrone home was yesterday sentenced to seven years behind bars.
John McParland, 39, from Irish Street in Armagh, and an accomplice also threatened to kidnap schoolgirl Ciara Small and hold her captive until her family paid a ransom in March last year.
However, the raid was foiled when her father activated an alarm system unbeknown to the intruders and the police arrived shortly after at their Cullenramer Road home outside Dungannon.
