CHIEF Constable Sir Hugh Orde yesterday defended the PSNI after DUP claims that police have exacerbated tensions in the build-up to the July marching season.
Speaking at the Northern Ireland Policing Board meeting in Belfast, East Antrim MP Sammy Wilson contrasted the treatment of Orange Order members questioned over a parade in east Belfast with the lack of progress of an investigation into a republican parade in Strabane in February.
