Leading construction and heavy equipment dealer AlJomaih Holding Company is looking at enhancing its market position and has recently granted greater autonomy to its heavy equipment division by transforming it into a full-fledged equipment specialist operating as AlJomaih Equipment Company

"The move was made early this year and we are now focusing on marketing the various lines offered by our principals, some of which are the leaders in their respective fields," says Abdullah S Al Ali, general manager of the Riyadh-based company. Among the various brands the company represents is Japan's TCM which offers a variety of versatile material handling systems. The leading equipment manufacturer, which holds the distinction of producing Japan's first forklift, has recently released eight new one to three-tonne FB-VII series models. In addition, four high-power models (1.5-3 tonne) are available, along with the hardworking TCM three-wheel 1.6 and 1.8 tonne models

"The FB-VII series ... a class apart for its ability to offer continuous work schedules and help maximize profits. The user-oriented design for an electric forklift is the driving goal at TCM when they envisioned the production of the FB-VII series," says Al Ali. "The new innovative design of the forklift satisfies much of the demands for machines that work longer hours without causing much stress and fatigue to the operator. Today, customers are looking for more compact truck bodies with more efficient and comfortable manoeuvrability," he adds

TCM has taken note of the requirement of very frequent boarding and unboarding to inspect proper handling of cargos by operators. To ease the constant mental and physical stress built up in operators, TCM has launched the newly redesigned and upgraded FB-VII Series, he says.
