Hilti's new demolition tools come equipped with a new power system that is claimed to boost the output of the saw by up to 350 per cent

Hilti has launched a new high-performance reciprocating saw which boasts the advantages of top performance, perfect handling and long life, according to Milos Hrabek, market segment manager at the Hilti Regional office in Dubai

The Hilti WSR 1400-PE is an ideal tool for demolition work in masonry and for the toughest cutting jobs in metal, plastic and wood. What makes it the best reciprocating saw on the market is the Smart Power system, which can boost the power output of the saw by up to 350 per cent, he points out

"For everyday construction site work, this means consistently high performance even when faced with the toughest cutting jobs," Hrabek explains. "When cutting hard materials, with applied high pressure, the performance of conventional saws drop rapidly. With Smart Power, however, intelligent sensors regulate the 1,400 W motor power according to the material being cut and the pressure applied. When it senses that more power is needed it increases output automatically - to a maximum of 2,000 W to execute the most difficult of jobs. "When pressure on the saw is lower, the intelligent sensors still ensure constant motor power. " The new reciprocating saw not only maintains the optimum cutting speed, but the power control system reduces the heat produced by the motor, with a correspondingly significant reduction of stress on important parts.
