Rift Valley zone signalled their intention of reclaiming the Kenya Teachers Colleges Sports Association inter-collegiate championships title by dominating the long and middle distance races at Eregi Teachers College yesterday.
At the end of the first day of competition, Rift Valley, who were beaten by Western Province last year after a 17-year unbeaten run, had garnered 85 points.
Central (55), Western (58) and Eastern (52) zones were locked in a tight battle for the second and third spots.
