Middle-market construction firms reap benefits in eastern Wisconsin.

Jul. 13--If it looks like Consolidated Construction Co.'s projects are turning up with increasing frequency in the Fox Valley, it's no illusion.

It's good business at its best.

"We will have a record year," said Mark Schwei, vice president at the 55-year-old Grand Chute firm.

Consolidated Construction isn't alone. Two other area middle market firms that design and build facilities -- Keller Inc. of Kaukauna and the Selmer Co. of Green Bay -- are also keeping busy.

Middle market design-build companies in the Fox Valley aren't in the same league as the biggest general contractors -- The Boldt Co., Miron …
