SEOUL, July 13 (Yonhap) -- South Korean retailers are staging a marketing blitz to capitalize on the growing rapprochement between the two Koreas, industry sources said Wednesday. In the latest thaw in inter-Korean relations, South and North Korea agreed on broader economic cooperation on Tuesday, followed by the South's proposal Wednesday to supply electricity to the energy-starved North in return for the scrapping of its nuclear ambitions. According to the sources, Lotte Department Store, the nation's top retailer, will sell North Korean products at a discount for 10 days from Aug. 15. The so-called unification catalog includes kitchenware, clothing, watches and shoes.
