Jul. 13--PRATTVILLE -- Speeders zipping through Autauga County won't have to pay their traffic tickets via snail mail or a trip to the courthouse anymore.

A new program, implemented through the Alabama Administrative Office of Courts, allows motorists to pay their traffic fines online. The program was introduced statewide Dec. 1, and has been implemented in 89 percent of Alabama's district courts so far, with eight courts remaining. The program is unavailable at the municipal court level.
