This SACD release, which musically reminds me of some of the Yellow Jackets, Flim and the BBs, and Spies CD recordings I have heard (with the addition of some well-handled guitar playing), was clearly not recorded with surround sound in mind. How do I know? Well, the blurb sheet that came with the disc says that it was recorded direct to two tracks, meaning that any surround or discrete-center feeds applicable to SACD multi-channel production would have to have been added later on as afterthoughts.
