Jul. 7--TOT Corporation has finally concluded a deal to take over the country's fifth mobile-phone service by buying out the CAT Telecom share of Thai Mobile for four billion baht.
TOT president Teeravit Charuwat said the deal was concluded at a meeting yesterday of TOT and CAT executives, called to discuss details of the share transfer and the ownership of the 1900 MHz bandwidth used by Thai Mobile, originally established as a joint venture of the state-owned telecoms duopoly.
Under the deal, TOT will take full ownership of the 1900 MHz bandwidth and all assets of Thai Mobile, by paying 4.055 billion baht, he said. ...
