Jul. 7--Bangkok Metro Plc (BMCL), the operator of the capital's subway train line, submitted a filing to the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday to float 2.55 billion ordinary shares on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in an initial public offering.
Some of the proceeds from the offering will be used to buy at least five new trains, the filing said.
According to Dr Sombat Kitjalaksana, BMCL's managing director, of the total offering, 1.55 billion would be new shares and the remaining one billion shares would be from existing shareholders.
