Jul. 7--PTT Plc will raise its pump prices by 40 satang per litre, effective today to keep pace with other brands.

The national energy giant said the move was unavoidable because world oil prices kept soaring, with the diesel price now at record high. PTT also needs to keep its already-low margin from being eroded.

Other oil companies raised their pump prices yesterday, resulting in their petrol and diesel prices becoming 40 satang and 50 satang higher than those of PTT.
