Jul. 6--The real estate market is undergoing a clear slowdown in both demand and consumer purchasing power, says Chalee Sophonpanich, president of City Realty.
"Over the past two years, single homes worth five to 10 million baht could easily sell. But this market is clearly slowing down," he said yesterday.
"Residential developers are looking to the lower income market due to the decline in demand and purchasing power."
Mr Chalee said real estate was a cyclical industry that was set for slower growth following the strong gains posted over the past four to five years.
