Jul. 4--What are most people's impressions of Africa? A continent ravaged by poverty, unsanitary conditions and a lack of infrastructure, or an exotic place to visit where one can enjoy a safari adventure?
Despite its well-known drawbacks, Africa is now trying to transform itself into an attractive new destination for foreign investors.
Since the colonial days, British businessmen and Indians quietly settled throughout the continent and established various business operations while more recently, Chinese investors have begun to gain a foothold in Africa.
But a lot of untapped business opportunities ...
