To compete with discount chains like Wal-Mart Stores and Costco Wholesale, consumer electronics specialists are offering more services, such as installation and system design. They're also increasing their mix of higher-end products, such as big screen, high-definition TVs.
1. Business
The Consumer Electronics Association expects the industry's U.S. factory sales to reach $125.7 billion this year. That's a 10.7% increase over last year's $113.5 billion.
