Taser sues USA Today for libel
The stun gun maker accused Gannett, the publisher of USA Today, of libel for a June 3 article that Taser said overstates the electrical output of one of its stun guns. The firm's stock has plunged 68% since Dec.'04 amid media reports alleging that the guns are more dangerous than the company contends. Taser rose 0.5% to 10.10. Gannett rose 1% to 71.89.
