Jul. 2--The president of the Stock Exchange of Thailand yesterday warned that investors holding "speculative stocks" could face huge losses as in the case of Picnic Corp.

"Investors just need to exercise caution if they are going to invest in risky companies.You need to consider what might happen when bad news comes out," said Kittiratt Na Ranong.

Shares of Picnic on Thursday nosedived 55 percent after the SET announced that trading would be allowed to resume following a six-week suspension. The market was closed yesterday for an official holiday.
