Natural gas-fueled Benzes in pipeline.

Jul. 2--DaimlerChrysler (Thailand) Ltd said yesterday it was prepared to begin selling luxury Mercedes-Benz saloons capable of running on either gasoline or natural gas for vehicles (NGV), to comply with the government's policy of promoting the use of cheaper indigenous fuels to help lower the import of expensive oil.
DaimlerChrysler is the first carmaker in Thailand to announce development of a dual-fuel (petrol-NGV) car for sale in the country. A locally assembled Mercedes-Benz NGT (natural gas technology) model was tested yesterday, watched by senior officials of the Energy Ministry.
