Constellation Q1 sales up 18.6%
The world's No. 1 wine firm earned 30 cents a share ex items in Q1, in line with views and a 36.3% rise over the year-ago profit. Net sales rose to $1.10 bil, helped by Constellation Brands' acquisitions of Mondavi and a stake in Ruffino brands. The beverage maker forecast 40-42 cents in Q2, against views of 41 cents. Shares fell 3.5% to 29.50.
