9.30am (ish) At PHD in London. Tea, early e-mails, go through diary with my assistant, Jenny.
9.45am I speak with Hamish Pringle pretty much daily. Today is about intellectual property rights and the IPA initiative on them. Need to stress it's a long-term issue.
10.00am Financial review with Morag Blazey and Monica Conway, who are part of the team that runs PHD in London. Good new-business run makes meeting flow easily.
11.30am Still share an office with my fellow PHD founder Jonathan Durden. Talk about a couple of client issues and London agency stuff and his new book. End up solving everything and laughing.
12.30pm America wakes up and my worldwide chief financial officer, Ken McNaughton, is the earliest riser. Talk about investment opportunities on the West Coast and 'over-' investment on the East Coast.
