Jul. 1--The mobile handset distributor Bliss-Tel has cried foul over the shortage of new mobile-phone numbers, saying it has not had enough SIM cards to meet market demand since last month.
Attavit Ektanitphong, managing director of Bliss-Tel Plc, said his company sold about 40,000 SIM cards per month, mostly for DTAC and TA Orange numbers. He did not reveal the sales volume of SIM cards for market leader Advanced Info Service (AIS), saying only that it was relatively small compared with those of the two smaller rivals.
