Jul. 1--Siam Cement Plc says it will operate its petrochemical facilities at full capacity, reversing its earlier decision to cut back after the government reassured it that the water supply along the Eastern Seaboard would not be disrupted.

Thailand's largest industrial conglomerate on June 21 announced plans to cut by 40 percent the production at its various petrochemical plants in the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong to help save water.

Although SCC has changed its mind, it said it would monitor the situation closely for any new developments.
