* Crude futures hit record highs but gasoil demand is finally easing. The very high prices are denting fuel oil buying interest but fundamentals look more bullish because of imminent exports to Asia.

* Gasoil prices were little changed on the week in northwest Europe. Baltic exports were plentiful, but heating oil demand is down for all but the most urgent needs. Interest from refiners for gasoil as a feedstock to make diesel is thinning.

* Demand from refiners for FSU gasoil has also tailed off in the Mediterranean, despite healthy desulphurisation margins on paper for making diesel. But the market has found some support from the eastern Mediterranean, …
