PHILADELPHIA _ It hasn't been pretty.
The Phillies continued their precipitous fall from hottest team in baseball to one of the coldest with a 12-8 loss to the Boston Red Sox on Sunday at Citizens Bank Park.
The Red Sox completed a series sweep as the Phillies finished their homestand 1-5 and fell into fourth place in the National League East, just a game in front of the last-place New York Mets.
Since the Phillies completed their 12-1 homestand to vault into contention, they are 3-9.
"As far as regroup, we have to play our (butts) off. How about that?" Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said.
