The nomination process for this year's Information Professional of the Year award has now officially begun.
The award is sponsored by Information World Review and presented at the annual International Information Industry Awards, held on the Wednesday evening during the Online Information show. The glittering ballroom at the Royal Lancaster Hotel has been the scene of the presentation in recent years, and the evening is regarded by many as the highlight of the year for the industry.
Our previous winners have come from all walks within the profession. The award casts its net wide, to bring in individuals from academic libraries, the public and private sectors, the financial sector, international institutions, consultancies and the research community. Anyone involved in the multi-faceted disciplines encompassed by the term "information professional" is eligible for this award.
The nominations process is simple: just put together a short CV of the individual you wish to nominate, and write a short nomination citation, saying what aspects of their work have most impressed you. Remember the awards panel will be looking for energy, ...
