The Ohio MTA All-Ohio Piano Ensemble (A-OPE) will honor David Karp, NCTM, with a concert of his duet and solo compositions June 10-12 on the camous of Bowling Green State University. Karp, Lyle Anderson, Connie Anderson, NCTM, David Engle and Christine Geiser Steiner, NCTM, will serve as conductors for the multiple-piano ensemble. Kathleen Jendrusik, NCTM, serves as ensemble chair.
The Indiana MTA held a new chamber music event at its 2004 state conference called "Chamberfest." Small chamber ensembles, ages 10 through 17, spent a day rehearsing and being coached by collegiate music majors from Butler University and master teachers.
