Winnie S.C. Ip receives PTGF Award.(National Association News)(Brief Article)
Winnie S.C. Ip, NCTM, of, Boston, Massachusetts, received the 2005 Piano Technicians Guild Foundation (PTGF) Teacher of the Year Award, worth $1,000. This grant provides advanced study opportunities related to piano to Nationally Certified Teachers of Music (NCTM).
Ip is the founder and music director of The Ip Piano School in Boston. She also is the founder and local representative of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in England.
Ip attended Harvard University, Extension School. earning certificates n administration and management along with completing course work in English as a second language, passing with distinction. In addition, she received a master of music degree in piano pedagogy from Catholic University of America and a bachelor of music degree in piano performance from the Hartt School of Music.
She is MTNA nationally certified in piano and music theory and earned the licentiate in piano teaching from ...
