On April 6, 2005, at the close of the MTNA National Conference, Paul Stewart, NCTM, was installed as MTNA president, succeeding Phyllis I. Pieffer, NCTM. AMT presents this interview with your new president.

AMT: How does #feel to be the new president of MTNA?

PS: My feelings about being the new MTNA president are a mixture of humility and responsibility. As I review the distinguished list of past presidents, I feel a daunting challenge to continue the notable traditions of MTNA leadership. I am only the second National President from North Carolina.
