Canadian women in academics hold only about 30% of the top administrative jobs, according to a survey released at a meeting of the Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada (SWAAC).
While the actual number of senior women has increased in the past five years, the proportion of women occupying those posts really has not changed, said Karen Grant, the vice-provost at the University of Manitoba, who ran the survey.
