The government's Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) is to jointly fund a major law digitisation project in association with the British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILII), which will see the digitisation and free internet delivery of legal archive material. The Open Law project will provide academics, researchers and institutions with access to case reports and legislation papers, including the 200 most cited judgements in all the core legal areas.
