Jun. 6--The Industrial Economics Office (IEO) has accelerated industrial restructuring, particularly in the automotive, steel, textile, food and printing sectors, in preparation for a projected slowdown.
Chutaporn Lampasara, the office's director-general, said the main restructuring would focus on engaging trainers, engineers and experts in various fields to help advise on ways to reduce production costs, enhance efficiency, upgrade technology and conserve energy. Such an approach is not costly.
