Jun. 6--TOKYO -- After building a foothold in the world's kitchens over almost a century with monosodium glutamate (MSG), Ajinomoto Co Inc is aggressively pursuing business diversification on a global scale, ranging from food-related ventures to amino acids and pharmaceuticals, as well as packaging and distribution.
Further efforts to develop new products using amino acids will help the company achieve its goal to become a global corporation in food and amino acids in the near future, its executives say.
