Jun. 6--Discount fares just one bargain anticipated at RIC: It could be a year for bargains in and around Richmond International Airport.
That was the word last week from Jon Mathiasen, the airport's president and chief executive officer, as he discussed some upcoming changes that affect travelers.
Addressing the Capital Region Airport Commission, Mathiasen said, "This next fiscal year will be a very exciting year" in terms of discounts -- and not just for air fares. But the biggest news is on the fare front.
