Jun. 4--Tipco Foods (Thailand) Co, the food unit of the Tipco Group, is spending one billion baht to expand the production capacity of Tipco health drinks this year.

The new beverage factory, located on a 70-rai plot in Wang Noi, Ayutthaya, is under construction and is expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter. Products to be produced at the new factory include fruit and vegetable juices, cereal drinks and green-tea products.

"The 'B' and 'C' brackets, aged 40 and over, are growing steadily and so is their purchasing power. Over the next five years, the majority of Thais will be in this group, thus representing our core target," said Viwat ...
