Chicago Merc to hike trading fees

For the 1st time since 2000, the largest U.S. futures exchange will increase trading fees for members across all products starting Aug. 1. The Chicago Mercantile Exchange also reported Wednesday's futures and options trading volume was over 7.5 mil contracts, exceeding the previous record of 7 million set April 15. Shares jumped 8.5% to 232, an all-time high.
