A formal objection has been lodged by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) in response to plans for a 36-turbine wind farm in the hills above Loch Ness.

The agency believes that the development on the Dunmaglass Estate near Strathnairn would pose an unacceptable collision risk for golden eagles and could threaten other bird species as well as otters, bats and wildcats.
