Who dwarfs the competition when it comes to ad directors and who is the hardest - newspaper sales people or media buyers? Two press directors ponder these key issues.

MARK GALLAGHER - DIRECTOR, MANNING GOTTLIEB OMD

- Which ad director is the best in the business?

This is a tough one to answer. As a bit of a cop out, I'd have to say the person who took me on the last jolly, so David Emin (News Group). He dwarfs the competition.

- Is press moving to a TV-style trading model or are there too many barriers?

Not really; I cannot envisage a time when it's all dealt out in advance, especially as supply is not fixed.

- How concerned are you that most national newspapers are experiencing circulation decline?
