Paul Longhurst, the managing director of The Allmond Partnership, has been made redundant.

Nigel Allmond, the TAP chief executive, will absorb Longhurst's responsibilities following a tumultuous 18 months for the agency, which became independent in 2003 when it bought itself out of Omnicom's Manning Gottlieb OMD.

The agency has endured a lacklustre new-business run - in April last year, it lost its pounds 33 million O2 TV buying business to ZenithOptimedia and, five months later, it lost its pounds 7 million Yell TV buying account.
