The AMV Group is set to close down its second-string agency Minerva and split the business between Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO and Proximity London.
AMV Group is currently in discussion with the Minerva management and clients over its future. If the proposal to close Minerva is accepted, the transfer is expected to take place by the end of June.
AMV refused to rule out making job cuts among Minerva's 32-strong workforce.
Cilla Snowball, the AMV chairman, said: 'At group level, we have to look at client requirements for integration and top-level creative work and we think we have a better chance of delivering this if the proposal goes through. However, there is a formal process that we have to follow.'
