Beattie McGuinness Bungay has won the creative and strategic planning business for Sky News, in preparation for its pounds 20 million relaunch in the autumn. The account was handed to the agency without a pitch.
The appointment will see BMB working with Sky News to promote the news channel and produce all the advertising surrounding the relaunch. The agency will also work with the design consultancy Wink on the on-air brand, and is said to be taking a role in the development of programme ideas.
BMB's appointment does not affect Sky's existing arrangements with HHCL/Red Cell on the overall Sky brand, nor with Wieden & Kennedy on Sky One.
