Jun. 3--Subway commuters will have to wait another two months before they can shop underground, according to Metro Mall Development Co, a subsidiary of subway operator Bangkok Metro Co Ltd (BMCL).
To date, only 40 percent of the retail shops have been leased by big tenants, said Metro Mall, which had hoped to start offering subway shopping this month. As well, some operators have not been able to finish outlet decorations on schedule, partly because Metro Mall has been very strict in enforcing safety and security rules.
