Jun. 3--KGI Securities said interest in the company's equity-linked notes had risen steadily since its launch in February as investors view them as a means to make gains even in times of market volatility.
Naruemol Artamnuayvipas, a senior vice-president at KGI's equity derivatives department, said the product had proven quite popular among institutional investors, including insurers and fund managers.
"ELN (equity-linked notes) is still a relatively new product. But we've received a very good response from the market, mostly institutional investors and insurance firms," she said.
